About the Club

We are located on the 1st floor of St Monica’s Parish Centre in Bootle, which we share with the railway modellers  of the West Lancs O Gauge Guild.

Access is via the double-door to the far left of the building as you look at it from the car park (Stewart Ave side).

Up the stairs to the 1st floor entrance and ring the bell. One of our members or the railway guild will answer the door.

We have two tracks available. The main Hawthorne Park race track (illustrated below) and our smaller rally track which is for those with off-road ambitions!

The main track is 4 lanes with a 100 foot running length. It is on a wooden base with the slots routed into the surface. Power is picked up from copper tape. The track was originally designed and built in the 1980’s and underwent a thorough refurbishment in 2012.
